This year the lady Titans volleyball season was a season of Firsts. They started the season with a really tough schedule. The lady Titans won Lakeshore’s first ever varsity win against Salmen, three games to none. As the season continued the lady titans played every one of last years state champions. They worked hard all through the season and started district prepared and ready to win. In district the lady titans went undefeated and won Lakeshore’s first ever undefeated district title. As the district season wrap up the lady Titans went into the first round of state as the underdog. The lady Titans were ranked 18th and ended up playing the 16th ranked team, which was Brusly High School out of Baton Rouge. Brusly had a lot of experienced players but the lady Titans were ready to win, and that they did. They defeated Brusly in three games winning Lakeshores first ever state playoff game, and then went on to the Regional round of the playoffs. In the regional round the ladies Titans fought hard, but were out matched with the first seeded team, E.D. White high school out of Thiboudaux. The lady Titans also, rounded out the season with three All District players Kristlyn Lafitteau, Madelyn Galdamez and MVP of the District Linden Schenck. At this years sports banquet they lettered 8 freshmen and 3 sophmores and 3 juniors. The Top defensive award went to Madelyn Galdamen, the top Offensive award went to Krislyn Lafitteau, the two coaches awards went to Haley Stiebing and Kathryn Mallory and the MVP award went to Linden Schenck.
